We understand that children have been working hard at school and after a long day might want to simply relax. Our after school clubs have been described as “going to play at someone house, but with loads of people and games to play”. It is no wonder that when parents turn up to collect their children sometimes they just don’t want to go.
All our after school clubs run straight after school until 6pm each school day. Once children arrive at the club room they are able to play with the wide range of free play activities.For the first and last 30 minutes of the club children are able to watch some television or play on the wii.
Each club offers children a snack and this is usually served between 4 .00 – 4:30 we offer children a varied menu from toast to jacket potatoes and the children regularly help us make homemade soup and potato wedges. Children will also get the opportunity to cook sausages or dough balls on an open fire when we are running a forestry session in the after school club. Each night we offer an organized activitiy run by one of the FISH play workers, this can be anything from den building, arts & craft activity, rounders, hockey, bouncy castle games or an organised grand prix knock out race on the scalectic.
Some of our after school clubs are linked to a learning community or a cluster of schools to provide a sustainable after school club for all the schools. We are please to be able to offer a pick up service using either the Fish MPV or School Mini Bus. Children are collected from their school and then taken back to the host school. There is no extra charge for this service. We also operate a walking bus from some of our schools to the host schools. Please see the individual venues for more details

Booking your holiday club session couldn’t be easier!! Simply log into your parent online portal and follow the easy to navigate booking steps. If you have not used FISH before, you will need to create a new account and provide us with all the relevant information so that we can ensure we provide the best care for your child, you will only have to create an account once, but please remember to update any of your details if these change.
If you are struggling to register or are unable to do this online, please call the office on 08445 618847 or 01626 325808 and we will be happy to register your account and take your booking over the phone.
Booking forms usually go live 6 – 8 week before the start of the holidays, spaces fill up quickly so we always recommend booking early if you know the sessions you need, but you can book online until 5pm the day before the session you need as long as we have capacity. If you need a book on the same day you will need to call the office between 9:30 – 1:30
We also offer priority booking sessions, Priority bookings offer parents the peace of mind knowing that your regular sessions are taken care of and are secured for as long as you need them. FISH must receive a signed and fully completed priority booking application form before a place can be considered, the club manager will confirm the spaces.
Each evening we provide children with a small snack and fruit, it is enough to keep children going until they get home fore there evening meal. Water is available for the children throughout the session.
Some schools run extra-curricular activities after school, if you child is booked into these clubs please check with the school or provider that they are happy to bring your child to the fish club after the club has finished. If they are unable to do this please speak to the club manager before you book your child into the club to check that we can pick them up. Sometime due to operation issues we may not be able to collect a child from an external after school club, we will let you know and they will have to get collected at the normal time.
